Umair Tariq

Umair is an Emerging Markets Banker turned Investor and Entrepreneur in 2014. Umair started his career with the National Bank of Abu Dhabi and was a Financial Markets Investment Banker, spending the majority of his career at Standard Chartered Bank. In his banking career, Umair helped develop and grow multiple businesses across the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the US and was the Regional Head of Africa Structuring in his last role at SCB. Umair has a BSc. Economics from the Lahore University of Management Sciences, a Masters in Finance from the London School of Economics and is also a CFA Charterholder.

Umair was exploring Nurseries for his one-year old son in Dubai, and having reviewed the quality of the offerings, he decided to bring the Safari Kid advanced curriculum to the Middle East. As now part of the Kïdo Education expanding globally, he has established its regional hub in Dubai and exploring further regional expansion including in the GCC, Pakistan, Egypt and Turkey.
