Hannah Lawson

Hannah Lawson joined John McAslan + Partners in 2001 and was made a Director in 2005. Hannah, recently awarded the honour of being named the UK’s Emerging Architect of the Year is director in charge of a range of significant work in the practice, including those relating to education and culture projects.

Her work is often characterised by complex multi-stakeholder and community-led negotiations, where consultation is an essential part of the creative process.

Hannah’s particular interest in sustainability is demonstrated in her leadership of the practice’s Initiatives Programme which, in collaboration with the practice’s bursary students, has developed a number of projects that seek to address issues of sustainable development.
