Fahed Al Hussaini
Regional Director – Middle East and North Africa, Cambridge University Press
Fahed Al Hussaini has been working in the education field since 1991 during which he was awarded Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for the Distinguished Academic Performance. He, then, continued his career as an Inspector of English at the UAE Ministry of Education where teacher training and evaluation as well as curriculum development were the core of his responsibilities.
In 2006 he made a remarkable turning point in his career by joining PEARSON Education as a publishing consultant. But the greatest move of his life was joining Cambridge University Press: He started as an ELT Development Editor where he contributed to adapting several International titles to Middle Eastern Editions. Then in 2008 he took full responsibility for the Education Department in MENA in which he worked hard to make this department one of the most important and rapidly growing departments in the Press. His passion and devotion to his job were recognised by the senior management. So, he was gradually promoted to Regional Director and member of the International Education Business Board.
With this new role Fahed is representing Cambridge University Press to open new channels of cooperation and consultancy with Ministries of Education in the region.
