Dr Wafi Dawood is the CEO of the Strategic Development Sector at the Knowledge and Human Development Authority. He is responsible for developing and updating Dubai’s strategy for education and human development, managing performance, and aligning outputs with the goals of Dubai Plan 2033 and its economic and social agendas, and the Education 33 Strategy. His work supports the emirate’s goal of becoming a leading international destination for high quality education for all learners.

With more than 25 years of experience in strategic leadership and organisational performance, Dr Dawood oversees key initiatives and policies, including international assessments, institutional excellence and governance, service design, future foresight, data science and analytics, investor relations, and strategic partnerships. His efforts span the entire education journey, from birth to higher education and beyond, ensuring all learners in Dubai have access to high-quality educational opportunities.
