Karen Davies

Senior Director, Charterhouse International

Karen Davies is the Senior Director of Charterhouse International, responsible for the development and oversight of the School’s international portfolio as well as Charterhouse Online.

After reading English at Cambridge, Karen worked in Financial Services for five years before completing an MBA at Warwick Business School. 15 years of global consultancy specialising in strategy, leadership and the management of change, then led to the decision to become a teacher.

Twenty-three years in education have included being a Head (The Royal Ballet School), Deputy Head Cheltenham College, Charterhouse), Housemistress (Millfield) and teacher of various subjects but most importantly, a passionate believer in a relationship-based approach to learning and the importance of kindness in school communities.

Karen has also been the Chair of Governors at a UK prep school and currently sits on the Boards of three international schools.
