Brendan Law currently leads and supports the strategic vision, development, Principals and Leadership Teams of fourteen leading British Premium Schools within the GEMS Education network of schools. Unique skills and experience in setting up international schools in the Middle East, with excellent track record of success. Only person to set up two major branded schools within three years in the UAE. Helpful network within the Abu Dhabi and Dubai communities, particularly within the key educational authorities.
Brendan was previously Headmaster, Westbourne House School, Chichester, in 2003 and spent eight very happy years there: during his tenure as Head, the school grew by 33% and achieved record results.
During his time at Westbourne, he sat on the Cranleigh UK Board of Governors, serving both the Academic and the Preparatory School Committees. He was appointed as Founding Headmaster of Brighton College Abu Dhabi in April 2011 and led its successful opening.In July 2012, Brendan was appointed as Director of Education at TDIC: whilst he continues to oversee all educational development opportunities on Saadiyat, his primary task has been the establishment of Cranleigh Abu Dhabi, which is set to become the flagship school in the region.Brendan was appointed as Headmaster of Cranleigh Abu Dhabi in October 2013.
