Biju Mohandas

Head of Health and Education Sub-Saharan Africa, International Finance Corporation

Biju leads the Health and Education investment team for the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in Sub Saharan Africa. In this role he is responsible for growing IFC’s investments in the Health and Education sectors in the region, managing existing investments in these sectors and for leading and developing a team of investment professionals.

Biju has several years of operating and investing experience across multiple emerging markets in India and Africa. His investment experience includes equity, quasi equity and debt transactions, distressed asset turnarounds and PPPs across healthcare, agribusiness and renewable energy sectors. Before IFC, Biju was the East Africa Director of Acumen fund and was responsible for their East Africa related investments, operations and business development activities. Additionally, He has an MBA from the Indian School of Business majoring in Analytical Finance and also served in the Indian Army.
