Dr. Arun Arora is the Chairman of Edvance Group, an organisation setup to draw on global best practice and provide solutions to educational problems facing India.

Edvance Pre-schools, a joint venture with EtonHouse International –Singapore, addresses the growing segment of quality-conscious parents who desire a holistic experience in the formative years of their child’s life. With 50 pre-schools in major cities in India under the brands Vivero and Serra International, the Group is now extending this philosophy through the setup of quality primary and secondary schools.

Dr. Arun Arora is the former President and Executive Director of Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd. (The Times of India Group) and ex-CEO of The Economic Times. Dr. Arora has a long and varied media experience of over 35 years and sits on the Boards of several companies.

He was actively involved in setting up many new businesses within the Times of India Group as well as others.Some of the brands launched by him include Sony Entertainment Television, Planet M, Times Music and Zoom.He spearheaded joint ventures with BBC Worldwide and Reuters to form Worldwide Media and Times Now.

In the past, Arun was CEO of brands like The Times of India and Sony Entertainment Television. He was Vice-Chairman of ENIL (Radio Mirchi), Chairman of United News of India and Vice Chairman of TimesofMoney Ltd.

Arun is a Chemical Engineer, fellow of Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers and a Harvard alumnus.
