Zaid Maleh

Vice Chancellor International, Synergy University

Zaid Maleh is the Vice Chancellor International of Synergy University. Currently and in parallel to his role at Synergy University, Zaid is the CEO of DACH ADVISORY, a specialized investment and management firm headquartered in Dubai with offices in Moscow and in Vienna.

A seasoned investment banker with wealth of knowledge in the industry and over a decade of experience in emerging markets coverage. Zaid has an excellent international exposure and relationships with Governments, UHNWI & HNWI, family offices through to SWFs & institutional clients.

Prior to his role at Synergy University, Zaid headed the MEA Investment Banking activity at VTB Capital, the Investment Banking arm of VTB Bank, Russia’s largest financial group. He was instrumental in positioning VTB Capital as the 1st Russian bank in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) while leading the bank’s efforts in the region. He also held senior positions within Gatehouse Bank and Raiffeisen Bank International in Vienna and London in the area of M&A Advisory, Debt & Equity Capital Markets as well as Islamic Finance focusing on Emerging Markets.

He started his professional career as a Middle East consultant & communications officer at the United Nations Headquarters in Vienna.

Zaid is an active member of several business councils across Europe & the Middle East. He is a Partner at FCF Fox Corporate Finance GmbH, a leading German specialized investment bank with particular emphasis on private and public small / midcap companies across German speaking Europe based in Munich and a Managing Partner at SYNERGY INNOVATIONS, Russia’s leading private education and innovations brand.

An Austrian National of Syrian origin, Zaid holds a degree in Economics & Business Administration from the Vienna University of Economics and is fluent in Arabic, German, English and advanced in Russian language.
