Secondary Principal, Bromsgrove International School Thailand
Ruth Young is the Secondary Principal at Bromsgrove International School Thailand and since beginning her role there in August 2015, has focused on developing a curriculum that incorporates alternative pathways. She strives to ensure that Secondary students at Bromsgrove have access to personalised learning pathways, allowing them to gain both the necessary qualifications and attributes for their Higher Education and future career.
Ruth grew up in the Midlands, completing her degree and postgraduate studies at the University of Leeds. She then began her teaching career; firstly as a Modern Foreign Languages teacher, then subsequently as an Advanced Skills Teacher, advising and supporting schools and leadership teams with Teaching and Learning provision. Since moving overseas to a British International School in Egypt in 2010, Ruth has been involved in curriculum design and is passionate about the potential for bespoke pathways in international education. Now a PENTA accredited BSO inspector, Ruth enjoys cultivating relationships with other international schools and working collaboratively to share outstanding pedagogy and practice; ensuring all students develop academically and holistically, becoming responsible, globally aware learners.
