Emerging Markets Education Director, Parthenon-EY, Education Centre of Excellence
Mary is Emerging Markets Education Director for Parthenon-EY and member of the firm’s Education Centre of Excellence. She brings extensive experience in the education sector, developing research and supporting clients, and she has worked in the public and social sectors on three continents in the last 12 years, from grassroots organisations to the highest levels of government decision-making. Mary brings a particular focus on innovation.
Prior to joining Parthenon-EY, Mary worked with the Young Foundation, Britain’s foremost policy innovation institution. Her prior experience includes strategy consulting to non-profits in the UK; directing a popular grassroots literacy programme in Los Angeles; and working with Ashoka, Acción, and other US-based policy and non-profit organisations. Mary is a Fellow of the Young Foundation and an advisor to CKS, an Indian innovation think tank. She is a regular contributor to blogs and publications on education.
Mary has a Master of Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School, which she attended on a Pforzheimer Fellowship, and a Master’s in European Studies from the College of Europe, which she attended as a Fulbright Fellow. She has a Bachelor’s summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Southern California.
