Karan Khemka leads the International office of The Parthenon Group and is the Head of the International Education Practice. He has been with the firm since 2002. Karan has advised clients primarily in the education sector, hospitality, healthcare and industrial sectors on growth, product development, and mergers & acquisitions.
Mr. Khemka has extensive experience in the private education sector, including higher education, K-12, vocational training, government funded programs and Pre-K. Other education projects include international market entry strategies for major multi-national educational firms. Karan has competed projects in over 30 countries globally, including China, India, North and South East Asia, Middle East, Australia, UK, Western Europe and Latin America.
Karan is on the Asia Advisory Board for Phillips Academy Andover, a Senior Advisor to the Asian Women’s Leadership University and has been published in the Harvard Business Review, Forbes and other publications.
Mr. Khemka is frequently asked to speak at leading global forums, such as the Goldman | Stanford Conference, Harvard - India Conference, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) conference on sustainable investing in education, Credit Suisse Global Services conference, IBC Asia - Higher Education Summit, EDGE, Indo-US Summit on Higher Education, IPSEF London, Middle East, Hong Kong and Malaysia, Building Future (BFE) Mena and India among others.
Mr. Khemka holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Georgetown University and a MA in Law from Cambridge University.
