Dr Norma Hudson
Head of School, ISKL
Dr. Norma Hudson is the new Head of School at ISKL. Originally from St. Louis, MO, Dr. Hudson's US home is in Dillon, CO home. For the past 33 years she lived in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and worked with the International Schools Group where she was a music teacher, assistant principal, assistant superintendent, and for the last seven years was the Superintendent of International Schools Group; a District of seven schools and 4,100 students.
Dr. Hudson has a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Southwest Baptist University, Bolivar, MO; a Master of Education degree from Plymouth State College, Plymouth, NH; and a Doctorate of Education degree in Educational Policy and Administration from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN.
Dr. Hudson is very pleased to join the ISKL community and is actively involved in all aspects of the development of new ISKL, and leads a dynamic team of 210 academic staff.
Established in 1965, the International School of Kuala Lumpur (ISKL) is a private, not for profit, parent-governed school accredited in the United States through the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and internationally through the Council of International Schools (CIS).
Among the programs offered are Prep Reception (3 years old) to High School diploma, the International Baccalaureate diploma and Advanced Placement courses
More than 1600 students attend ISKL from more than 60 countries. In view of our diverse student population, our programs have been designed to nurture our students’ appreciation of other cultures. ISKL offers both an IB diploma program and AP courses. Students graduating from ISKL attend some of the finest universities throughout the world.
